Motorcyclist, 20, Killed In Salem County Crash

A 20-year-old motorcyclist from South Jersey was killed in a crash on Friday, May 31, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on Route 660 at the intersection of East Lake Road in Pittsgrove Township, according to New Jersey State Police.

Jacob W. Wright, of Monroeville, was killed in the crash, State Police said.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Yamaha motorcycle was traveling east on Route 660. A Dodge pickup truck was traveling west on Route 660. A Chevrolet pickup truck was stationary at a stop sign at the intersection of Route 660 and East Lake Road. 

At the intersection, the Dodge made a left turn in front of the Yamaha, and the front of the Yamaha impacted the front of the Dodge in the eastbound lane. As a result of the collision the driver of the Yamaha was ejected and impacted the driver side of the Chevrolet. 

As a result of the crash, Wright sustained fatal injuries. 

Services for Jacob are set for Wednesday, June 12, at the Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad St. in Woodstown, according to his obituary.

The viewing will begin at 4 p.m. with the service following at 5:30 p.m.

He attended Woodstown High School Class of 2022 and worked for Brandywine Tree Co. in Penns Grove, his obit said.
